I don't often see the option to make my terriyaki spicy, so I had to try it. The Spicy Teriyaki sauce was good, but the dish itself wasn't traditional teriyaki. The meat wasn't dry, but it wasn't juicy. The Honey Lemon dressing was good on the salad, and that's my favorite dressing here. The portion of rice, salad, and meat was pretty proportional. The service was quick, and there was plenty of seating on a weekday during lunchtime. The place is bright and modern, but it seems more like a grab-and-go spot.

Review is based on a group order via Sharebite. -Chicken Thigh Bowl (brown rice, regular teriyaki, carrot ginger salad dressing) $13.50: Marinated and grilled chicken was tender and served over your choice of rice with a organic side salad. -Hidden Fjord Salmon Salad (spicy teriyaki, sesame salad dressing) $15: Seasoned and grilled salmon was cooked well and served over an organic mixed green salad with cherry tomatoes, persian cucumbers, and edamame.

With so much fast- & fast-casual food being Mexican, Italian or Chinese, Glaze Teriyaki is a breath of fresh air. When I went, it was prime lunchtime, but service was still fast. Customers have the option to order via a kiosk or with an employee. The concept is simple--pick a protein (vegetable & tofu options available, along with chicken, pork, beef & salmon), a base (among brown/white rice & salad) & a sauce--& Bob's your uncle (or perhaps I should say 「ボブはあなたの叔父さんよ」; there are a handful of sides available for an extra charge. The food was decent! I was especially surprised that the salad was something I actually wanted to eat & the rice was several cuts above what you get at most Chinese take-out places. I wouldn't call this a destination restaurant, by any means, but would def stop in again, when in Hudson Square with a hankering.

I don't get all the semi negative reviews. I'd rate this place above a lot of other "bowl" focused restaurants in Manhattan. Rib bowl portion size is small, the ribs themselves are good. The steak is moist, obviously not Peter Lugers, but neither is Chipotle.

The lettuce in the salad was so old. The staff was nice. The aesthetic was so cute. The gyoza was good tho. V nummy.

Pretty decent grab-and-go teriyaki spot. Salmon was well seasoned but on the saltier side. Steak was good but kind of chewy, mostly well done with the occasional medium well. Chicken thigh wasn't amazing. Bowls come with a salad and dressing- just lettuce and shredded carrots. I would come back for a quick lunch with coworkers.
